Single Malt Whisky - Cask "Distillery SILD" from SYLT - approx. 112 liters

The barrel has the following properties

• Only 6 pieces in total

• Space is notoriously scarce and therefore priceless on the North Sea island, so the SILD distillery decided to store the whisky barrels on a ship—more precisely, on a restored cutter anchored in the harbor of List.

• The whisky acquires an incomparable taste through the constant rocking of the waves, but also through the brutal force of the sea during a storm.

• The salty sea air and the varying temperatures naturally have a significant impact on the development of the casks. They impart enormous flavor diversity to the casks, and thus to the whisky: robust, peppery, pleasantly salty, with a full-bodied malt note.

• Color

  Light amber.

  Odor

  Smoky note with subtle vanilla notes, malty, light smell of iodine, seaweed and white pepper.

  The taste

  Unique aroma of sea breeze and salt, slightly malty and bitter-sweet at the same time.

  Reverberation

  Offers a long, pleasantly peaty and complex finish.

• Barrel including contents (single malt whisky) and barrel storage made of Douglas fir (taste and odor neutral wood), decoupling from the ground

• Storage with us under optimal conditions, i.e. over 70% humidity and not above 20°C - monitored 24 hours a day via our LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network)
